Robin Massari, LPC
Robin is a kind and understanding Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the public school system who enjoys working with adolescents and their families through the obstacles and challenges that children navigate daily. Robin takes pleasure in supporting children and their families through areas of social skills/social thinking, self-esteem, divorce, anxiety, school refusal, eating disorders, impulsive behavior, and other areas associated with emotional dysregulation. Robin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Fairfield University where she also earned a basketball scholarship to play for the Lady Stags. Followed by a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Southern CT State University, where she later became an adjunct professor for some time in their Counseling and Psychology Department and then continued her educational pathway by earning a Sixth-year Degree in Educational Leadership. Robin also is certified in Fitness and Nutrition which has benefited her throughout her role as a mental health professional.. Robin believes that all children have their style and can excel in whatever they put their minds to with positive adult support. Robin is continuing her training in Trauma Treatment with EMDR, CBT, and Somatic-Based Interventions. Robin takes an eclectic approach that includes Growth Mindset, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Experiential Therapy.
During some downtime, Robin enjoys going to the beach, attending sporting events, learning new things, but most of all, watching her son play baseball as he continues his career as a student-athlete at Penn State University. Robin looks forward to working alongside individuals and their families to assist in the goals they have set for themselves.
